PT, OCS, Clinic Director
Chris Kopp graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of North Florida and is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and certified Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist with 20 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics and is the senior therapist on staff. Chris can evaluate and treat all musculoskeletal conditions including the spine and extremities.
He has an excellent reputation for rehabilitation of shoulder conditions including post-surgical as well as the lower extremity and has specialized training in the foot and ankle and working with runners of all abilities. As an avid golfer and life-long athlete himself, Chris also oversees Premier’s golf rehab and sport specific training programs. Additionally, Chris is on faculty as an instructor for Florida Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy and functions as Premier Physical Therapy’s Center Coordinator of Clinical Education and provides physical therapy education to area students as well as licensed professionals.
Chris is passionate about representing physical therapy in a way that the profession was created and continues to evolve, which is to return individuals to their goals in the highest functional capacity possible while incorporating compassion and a caring spirit. He lives in Atlantic Beach with his wife and two children and enjoys an active Florida lifestyle.
Dr. Kurtis Pcolka
PT, DPT, CMPT
Kurtis, has lived in Jacksonville since 2009 and joined the Premier team in February 2017. Kurtis earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy, both locally from the University of North Florida.
Kurtis has completed several post graduate courses including a specialization in vestibular rehab. He also achieved his manual therapy certification from the Florida Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FIOMPT). Kurtis enjoys treating all orthopedic and musculoskeletal problems with an emphasis on hands on therapy but also has an interest in balance and geriatric rehab. As a life-long learner himself, Kurtis serves as a clinical instructor for Premier Physical Therapy and helping students achieve their goals and reaching their full potential.
Kurtis was born into a military family and spent most of his childhood moving from base to base. Kurtis is additionally very proud of his Dutch nationality and was a dual citizen at one point. When not at work, he enjoys exercising, sports (volleyball, tennis, flag football), kayaking, fishing, camping, traveling, and anything else involving the water.
Dr. Jess Grochowsky
PT, DPT, MTC, CLT, CMTPT
Jessica graduated from Stetson University with her Bachelor's in Rehabilitative Studies and then continued on to her graduate work at the University of St. Augustine where she earned a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Her continued education includes advanced certification in Manual Therapy through the University of St. Augustine; she then became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, and has finished her certification in Dry Needling through Myopain Seminars. Additionally, she has taken continuing education courses in treatment of vestibular disorders, spine related dysfunction, sacroiliac joint dysfunction and extremity dysfunction.
Jessica and her husband relocated to Jacksonville in the summer of 2018 in order to return to her home state and raise their son around family. Jessica and her husband enjoy living an outdoor lifestyle including running, biking, gardening, kayaking, tennis, hiking and camping. Their son and two dogs are a part of every adventure. As a Physical Therapist Jessica greatly enjoys assisting others in reaching their goals of returning to activity that is enjoyed and fulfilling to them.
Dr. Mark Kosier
PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, RCMT
Mark graduated from the University of Florida with degrees in Neurobiology and Physical Therapy. He continued on with his graduate work at the University of St. Augustine, earning his doctorate in Physical Therapy, with a focus on the evaluation and therapeutic intervention of head, neck, and orofacial pain. Mark received further certification by Dr. Mariano Rocabado as a manual physical therapist.
He continued advancing his studies by completing his fellowship in orthopedic manual therapy through the joint efforts of the University of North Florida, and Brooks Institute for higher learning. Dr. Kosier has lectured throughout the US and abroad, and currently participates as faculty to the Brooks IHL, mentoring the orthopedic residents and fellows in training. Mark has been a long time resident of Jacksonville, Fl with his wife and 4 children.
Kristie Arnold has been the office manager for Premier Physical Therapy since 2009 after spending many years owning and managing a McDonalds franchise. Kristie is from St. Cloud, Florida and earned her degree in medical billing from Sanford Brown in 2004. Kristie loves spending time with her 3 kids and six grandkids.
Patsy first started working at Premier Physical Therapy as a physical therapy tech/front desk associate in 2013 with the goal of getting her PTA degree, which she did from Florida State College of Jacksonville in 2016. Patsy is born and raised in the beaches area of Jacksonville and she enjoys the beach and spending time being active as well as caring for her many animals. Patsy loves being a PTA and helping her patients feel better not just physically but emotionally as well. Patsy has additional training in balance and fall prevention and has a reputation for having “good hands” with her patient treatments.
Veronica hails from Wisconsin and in efforts to move away from the cold, she found herself in Jacksonville. She recently just graduated from the University of North Florida with a Master’s in Business Management. Veronica is the Referral Coordinator for both of our locations.
Her tasks include coordinating appointments, sending referral forms to specific facilities, answering phone calls, communicating with providers, and verifying insurance information. She also helps out with our marketing strategies and efforts. Aside from Premier, Veronica is a former gymnast and D1 cheerleader, which has influenced her hard working personality and drive in life. Because she still holds a passion for gymnastics and cheerleading, she coaches part time in the evenings.
